Day 19 - Edinburgh, Scotland 🏴
Day 18 - The Viking Museum and the York Chocolate Story
What a fun day! We took a three part tour of the Jvorik Viking Centre—a medicine workshop, a Viking house tour, and the museum. We were taken back in time of the way and life of the Vikings. The kids were intrigued with how archaeologists are able to know so much from the study of what they have found!
A highlight of our day was the York Chocolate Story! We learned about the famous chocolatiers of York, also known as The Chocolate City! Throughout the tour, we were able to sample various chocolates and make our own white chocolate lollipops. Guess where the tour ended? The gift shop—and our kiddos had fun picking out gifts for family members and treats for themselves!
We ended our day with a walk on York’s famous stone walls that enclosed the city at one time. York will be on my list of favorite destinations! I loved the slow pace of the people and the narrow streets filled with shops and restaurants. I hope to go back one day!

Day 16 and 17 - York, England
The Railway Museum and York Minster
We toured the Railway Museum today and the kids loved it! One of the best rooms was where years of railway artifacts are housed and documented with the year they were given to the museum. It reminded me of an episode of American Pickers—chairs, signs, and dinnerware. Again, the history we’ve seen is hard to put into words.
In the afternoon, we visited York Minster. It was beautiful, inside and out. Part of our group took the challenge of climbing the tower stairs—over 250 spiraling stair steps to the top! It was worth it because you get a 360 degree view of the city at the top! As we were leaving, a chorus group was rehearsing the song Rise Up--we all stopped to listen because we couldn’t get over how beautiful it sounded within those walls!

Day 15 - TASIS—The American School in England, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye
TASIS--
The American School in England
Mr. Morgan and I started the day early with a visit to TASIS—The American School in England. It is located just outside of London in Thorpe. The international school serves more than 700 students, three-year olds through twelfth grade. It was a stunning campus with a historical buildings and manicured grounds. Sam Stover, a graduate of Baylor School, was our tour guide. He is the dean of middle school students.

Day 14 - The Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour
What a SPECIAL day for the kids! They were beyond excited to experience this tour! The smiles, the conversations, and their excitement made our day complete! From the Great Hall in Hogwarts Castle to Diagon Alley to Platform 9 3/4...this is a must see for any Harry Potter fan! Our day ended with the much anticipated gift shop stop and Butter Beer ice creams. It was a magical day for all of us!
Day 13 - We Joined the Bright School Group for the rest of our Journey!
It was a full day with the London Bus Tour and Thames River Cruise. What an awesome group of kiddos....so much fun to be with! We are all looking forward to the Making of Harry Potter tomorrow. Here are a few pictures from today...
Day 12 - Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor Castle
Chris flew home today and Natalie and I took a day tour to Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor Castle. It was a day well spent! We were in awe standing in front of Stonehenge and the Roman Baths in Bath. We ended the day standing in the castle where the Queen lives for part of the year. The history we saw today was incredible!
Day 11 - Tours of Chiswick and Kew Gardens
It was a day of beautiful gardens! Chiswick and Kew Gardens exceeded our expectations with flowers from all over the world. For a family who loves flowers, it was a perfect day! We ended the day at the famous Harrods, window shopping and dinner...the most expensive burgers we’ve ever ordered! It was another great day!
Day 10 - London, England
We flew from Bergen to London this morning...including the U.S, we’ve been in four countries in ten days! Thousands of steps, trains, buses, planes, and boats!! The adventure continues tomorrow. We are having a much needed day of rest today!
